So What Makes Capture12 Special?
Firstly, founder Stephen Gittins, spent years studying photography in all its forms. Not just camera types but also the theoretical, historical and creative nature of the media. He is therefore highly qualified not only to teach but also to direct your thinking in a more creative way.
Classes are small, no more than ten students, and therefore you get complete attention and a dynamic understanding of the subject matter being taught. Stephen say’s “Humor is a significant part of my teaching characteristic and I believe imperative to the learning experience. If you are enjoying yourself, learning is second nature and information is retained more effectively. There are no exams and therefore no pressure on learning the information that is conveyed”. You will however be encouraged to take notes, as this is considered to be a good method of information retention. All classes include art walks and therefore imperative that you bring your camera. By moving away from the classroom and into the surrounding environment your experience will be greatly enhanced.
